Description:

Responsibilities include:

– In-depth and ongoing analysis of benefits plans claims and cost trends (Medical, Rx, Dental, STD/LTD and other supplemental benefit plans)
– Participate in the evaluation of benefit plans and designs by providing meaningful analysis of claims costs/trends data, online employee behavior and utilization data of employee use of the Personal Health Manager portal, 3rd party services, off-line employee activities, employee surveys, and industry and competitive benchmark survey information.
– Interface with health plan vendors, insurance broker, health plan consultants, internal departments (Finance, Payroll, HR) to provide standard monthly, quarterly, and annual health plan and financial reporting. The reporting will be tailored to several audiences including Human Resources, Finance and Executive management.
– Developing standard reporting will include gathering business requirements, technical requirements, and functional specifications.
– Provide systemized reporting available via electronic and paper media
– Provide analysis to augment the review of existing benefits programs and design of new programs based on market competitiveness, cost analysis and impact to the business and employees
– Coordinate with functional and technical resources, both internal and external, to gather, necessary information to be able to compile, analyze, interpret and prepare ad-hoc and standard reporting
– Work with internal resources to support for health and wellness program delivery by providing meaningful analysis and reporting to help augment delivery, services and employee satisfaction.
– Provide 401(k) administration, government reporting and analytic reporting support to monitor participation, demographics and coordinate periodic discrimination testing
– Provide benefits administration and customer support where required
– Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations (e.g.. HIPAA, ERISA)


Requirements:

1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
2. A minimum of 7 years of corporate benefits experience. Financial Industry experience a plus
3. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
4. Strong planning and organizational skills
5. Prior experience leading/managing projects
6. Adaptable and flexible to changing work demands and priorities
7. Very strong (working knowledge and expertise using MS Excel, MS Access, Project, PowerPoint and larger scale systems
