Overview: NYC based owner, manager and developer of commercial properties is looking for a real estate attorney with experience in commercial real estate and expertise in dealing with transactions involving acquisitions and sales, financing and refinancing. The primary duties are to review and negotiate the business terms of all documents relating to acquisitions and sales, and to be part of the team involved with financing and refinancing, and to attend all closings.


Responsibilities:
• Extensive deal negotiation and execution
• Supervision and direction of outside counsel
• Interaction with acquisition, capital market and asset management teams
• Assist with key asset management contracts

Qualifications:
• Must have experience as oversight for outside counsel in real estate transactions
• Experience reviewing financing, mortgage documents, contracts of sale and partnership agreements
• Experience with real estate closings
• Experience with commercial and income producing properties
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with a team and with individuals at all levels
• The ideal candidate will have worked in the legal department of a real estate company
