Financial Analyst - Consulting Group

Responsibilities:

Support Senior Management through analysis and monthly financial reporting of assets under management; this would include monitoring system/reporting changes.

Perform financial and strategic analysis, including: Pricing, using billing data and profitability analysis.

Analysis involving competitive intelligence, understanding differences between individual product ROA rates, Net Asset Flow tracking and sales trend analysis.

Client-base analysis, including asset-based segmentation

Data analysis and presentation, including: Analyzing large files in MS Access and putting together reports in Excel, using graphs.

Setting up models and templates in Excel, composing PowerPoint presentations

Data reconciliation from different systems

Participate in cross-functional teams chartered to resolve business issues or improve processes.

Responsible for analytics required when responding to various regulatory inquiries.

Drive new inquiries and analysis to push strategic planning process and unit business decisions.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

Perform adhoc analysis to support department managers and SB Senior Management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required

Three to five years' financial reporting, analytic, computer modeling, strategic analysis

A great aptitude for numbers and for quick grasp of new computer applications

Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.

Demonstrated prior achievements in creation of complex spreadsheet solutions in MS Excel and similar programs is a big plus

Strong background and knowledge working with databases

Knowledge of Essbase and Business Objects is a big plus

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

A desire to work in a team based environment and contribute as a team player

Ability to take ownership of assigned products

Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities/deadlines with high degree of flexibility

Strong oral and written communication skills

Financial industry experience is a plus
