JOB DESCRIPTION:
Communications Manager responsible
for managing the PR process relative to product positioning and the goals of product messaging. Also responsible for in creating/implementing
employee communications strategies that are both educational and inspirational. This role will include PR program implementation. The focus will be in building strong relationships with key trade media including industry analysts.
Another area of focus will be incorporating key messages internally and externally. This person will be expected to make contributions in competitive positioning and on-going PR activities.
Develop an overall approach for media relations.
Serve as the principal interface with the media, including oversight of the public relations firms retained by the Firm.
Prepare and review all Press releases for the Firm to ensure consistency with the Firm’s standards.
Coach and train Partners in how to respond to the media.
Prepare and review internal and external announcements.
Develop an advertising strategy, including selection of outside consultants and contractors and administration of advertising contracts.
Oversee the development of a Firm branding process and incorporating that brand in all published material.
Establish standards for Marketing material to ensure a consistent look and feel.
Provide editorial assistance in drafting and publishing all Firm and Practice Group publications.
Develop and maintain the Firm web site and provide editorial and style assistance on all internal web sites.
Qualifications/Work Experience QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in writing
Ability to develop strategic communication plans and tactics
Ability to conceptualize &
implement high-impact PR & marcom efforts
